Reviews
“ Exactly what an adventure ride should be ”
Epic routes, great pacing, and zero tourist fluff. Everything was well organised, so you could focus purely on riding and enjoying the week. Built by riders, for riders.

“One of my best riding weeks.”
Hard riding, unreal scenery, and a solid group of people. Each day felt different and thoughtfully planned. I’d book again without hesitation.
— Dave R
“Challenging riding with zero guesswork.”
Great gravel sections, technical climbs, and enough variety each day to keep things interesting. Routes were clearly planned and well scouted, with no waiting around or confusion. Everything outside the riding just worked, letting us focus entirely on the ride.

FAQ’s
Our tours are designed for riders who already have some confidence off-road. If you’re comfortable on gravel, ruts, loose rock and back-country terrain, you’ll be right at home. If you’re unsure, get in touch and we’ll help you figure out if this tour is the right fit.
Your tour fee covers your meals, bike, fuel during the trip, accommodation, daily briefings, tour guides, support, and the full route prepared for the terrain and conditions. We take care of the logistics so all you need to focus on is enjoy the riding.
You can register your interest on our website. Once you're ready to lock in your place, we’ll send an invoice for a deposit. The remaining balance is due before the tour begins.
To keep things running smoothly (and safely), all riders must bring:
- A valid motorcycle licence – required to ride the KTM 500 EXC-F.
- Your dietary requirements – so we can sort meals for the entire trip.
- The ability to ride varied terrain – gravel, farm tracks, river crossings, hills, and high-country conditions.
- A bloody good attitude – non-negotiable. Come ready to laugh, ride, and enjoy the experience.
You’ll also need to bring:
- Your own riding gear – helmet, boots, armour, gloves, goggles, etc.
- Personal essentials – medications, toiletries, hydration pack, etc.
- Overnight clothing – it’s the South Island… the weather does whatever it wants.
- A small day bag if needed – for snacks, cameras, or extra layers.
Our tour groups range from 5-10 riders, so everyone gets attention and the group flows smoothly. Smaller groups also make the ride safer and more enjoyable.
Expect a mix of sealed roads, gravel, station tracks, mountain passes, and the type of high-country trails you only find in the South Island. Some sections are relaxed, others are more technical — that’s what makes the adventure.
The high country can change quickly, so routes may be adjusted if needed. Safety always comes first, but we’ll still make sure you get an amazing ride.
You’ll need your riding gear. If you’re missing something or travelling from overseas, let us know — we can help point you in the right direction.
We provide guidance, mechanical assistance where possible, route knowledge, and general support along the way. If something unexpected happens, we’ll help you through it.
You don’t need to be an athlete, but the tour involves long days on the bike, often in technical terrain. A moderate to good level of fitness helps reduce fatigue and improves safety, comfort, and control.
Yes — we host a relaxed BBQ meet & greet the evening before the tour. It’s a chance for riders to meet the guides, run through final details, check gear, and get to know the group before the adventure begins. Attendance isn’t mandatory, but it’s a great way to start the trip on the right note.
