The Southern Passes Adventure Tour is a five-day journey through some of the most authentic and untouched high-country landscapes in New Zealand. Starting in North Otago, we head north through the rolling terrain of Cattle Creek before looping back down into Ōtemātātā via the rugged Black Forest — one of the region’s most striking private land corridors. 

From there, the adventure continues over the iconic Danseys Pass and into Tokarahi, before cutting across exclusive private farmland into the Shingly Creek backcountry near Palmerston. The route then climbs over remote hill country into Hyde and Waipiata, delivering classic Central Otago scenery at every turn.

The final leg takes us through more private high-country stations, descending into Roxburgh before tackling the legendary Nevis track — finishing the tour with a true South Island classic as we ride down into Garston.

This tour blends premium bikes, private land access, and expertly guided riding to create an experience that’s challenging, rewarding, and unforgettable. Designed for intermediate to experienced riders, it offers a true taste of New Zealand’s high-country heritage, with terrain that ranges from gravel and farm tracks to river crossings, alpine passes, and remote station roads.
